Caitlin was a kind loving sensitive and thoughtful young beautiful girl. Unfortunately on the evening of the 14th July 2017 she accepted a lift from a friend who had recently passed her test. Caitlin's dad or Grandad usually took her anywhere she wanted to go or she would book a taxi or use the train. This was the first time she had been in her friends car.

Caitlin's friends had decided to go out for a meal that evening and they arranged to meet at the restaurant at 7.45pm. They travelled in two cars. three friends in each car. Unfortunately the car Caitlin was travelling in never made it to the restaurant. Just 15 minutes after Caitlin left home she had been killed. Caitlin was the front seat passenger and for reasons we don't know and maybe never will know the driver had lost control of the car coming around a bend in the road and ended up on the wrong side of the road while a van was oncoming on his side of the road and side impacted with Caitlin's friends car. meaning Caitlin got the direct impact of the crash.

We are devastated as a family, and our family will never be the same without our lovely sweet daughter. Caitlin was only eighteen years old and would have been nineteen on the 23rd November 2017. Words aren't strong enough to describe how I feel about this whole catastrophic event. We will always love and miss Caitlin and have a constant ache in our hearts for her.
